        Links!

People and places around town that I think are worth mentioning to you. If you disagree, then, well....sorry 'bout that.

        The Davis Studio
Run by Teresa Davis, the Davis Studio is a South Burlington art studio that provides classes for kids and adults- really, almost anyone. The offerings are pretty varied, too- everything from painting and fashion design to animation and fused glass. Plus, there's a new guy teaching an awesome clay class in the fall...hmmm, who might that be....

        Vermont Homebrew Supply
I love these guys. First off there's a basket of dinosaurs that my 3 year old can play with, so he's happy. And when he's done there the store-owners are fine with him wandering around (as long as he stays out of the fridge). They let him smell the grains, the malts, and are fine with him dishing out the bottle caps- so they win big points in my book. Plus they're super friendly, informative, and have been great at answering my questions (no matter how rudimentary).

        Jason May, Illustrator Extrodinaire
Really, I think that name says it all. I met this guy in collage, and he's always been doing fantastic work- in particular, I remember the year we went to a house party for Halloween dressed as the apes in Planet of the Apes. Those costumes were epic- cast latex, the whole nine. Jay's was the best, and his work has just improved since then.

        Zanimals!
Suzanne makes these adorable stuffed animals from new and clean recycled materials- there are some really good ones on her site. You can also check out her Etsy shop here: she's got some really neat stuff for kids and their mostly-grown up parents.
